Description:

The Healthy T-Birds Coalition Student Leadership positions support the Utah Center for Rural Health (UCRH) staff and coalition leadership team in managing the day-to-day operations of the coalition. Student leaders will play an important role in planning and implementing coalition activities, engaging SUU students, supporting coalition members, and completing assignments related to the coalition's funding work plan.

Student leaders will work collaboratively and may take primary responsibility for different areas of the coalition based on their skills, interests, and the needs of the coalition.

Training: Healthy Trailblazer Coalition leadership will be required to complete Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) as well as the Communities That Care (CTC) Coalition building training.

Qualifications:

  • Coalition leadership should be current SUU undergraduate or graduate students during the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Experience with planning activities, event coordination, student engagement, social media, or leadership is preferred.
  • Interest in student engagement, community involvement, health, wellness, or substance use prevention. Previous experience with substance use prevention or community prevention work is helpful but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Google Workspace/Google Docs.
